  • cup oat flour or oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • tsp salt
  • tblsp baking powder
  • tblsp xylosweet
  • 1 cup Rich rice milk
  • 1 banana mashed
  • Few strawberries mashed

Mix all the dry ingredients and then the rice milk. Add the mashed fruit and add more rice milk for thinner consistency. Make like pancakes and serve with maple syrup.

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tblsp baking powder
  • cup canola oil
  • cup sugar or xylosweet
  • tsp salt
  • 2 eggs or egg replacer
  • 1 cup Rich rice milk

Heart Healthy Waffles

This recipe has the goodness of oats, fruit and warm spices to kickstart your day.

  • 1 mashed banana
  • 2 cups Rich rice milk
  • 1 cup uncooked oatmeal
  • 1 whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Vanilla extract ( to taste)

Mix the mashed bananas and rice milk. Add all the other ingredients and mix, leaving lumps in the batter. Grease the waffle iron and place batter and close and cook till a rich brown colour.
